AMAG reduces training material delivery effort by half thanks to consistent process digitalisation in the cloud
Nomasis, the provider of solutions and services for the secure business use of mobile devices, makes it easier for the AMAG Group to provide training material on tablets. Instead of setting up the devices from scratch for each training course and copying the documents individually onto the tablets, as was previously the case, the automobile import and trading organisation now uses Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Apple Automated Device Enrollment (ADE), Microsoft Outlook and OneDrive for the courses at its in-house academy. “Automating the installation and commissioning of the 165 iPads allows our 12 training staff at the AMAG Academy to halve the time required,” says Hasim Shabani, Technical Trainer AMAG Academy, about the simplification achieved with the project. The new system went into productive operation at the beginning of 2022.
The system change took place within the framework of the company’s fully comprehensive Microsoft Cloud strategy, which had already resulted in the introduction of Microsoft Intune for the management of all mobile end devices by Nomasis in cooperation with the IT department of the AMAG Group at an earlier point in time. The combination of Apple ADE with Microsoft Endpoint Manager was a logical consequence. The devices are now automatically rolled out and set up as soon as they are logged into a WLAN network. Microsoft Outlook, OneDrive and Authenticator are automatically installed and pre-configured. The trainers can reset the iPads at the end of the courses so that they are automatically set up again as desired – completely without further manual intervention. Training materials no longer need to be physically managed and provided, but are shared centrally via the Microsoft OneDrive file hosting service.
