The dynamics in the area of mobile devices and applications has increased considerably in recent years and the focus has shifted to “Enterprise Mobility + Security”. On the one hand, the connection of mobile devices to corporate IT brings numerous efficiency and productivity advantages, while on the other hand it presents companies with completely new challenges in the area of security. With the increasing variety of platforms and devices, consumerization effects and numerous new security risks they face, one thing stays clear: innovation and security must move in step. IT is called upon here to raise awareness in the specialist areas and to attach importance to solutions that can fundamentally secure mobile data while at the same time not restricting the productivity of employees. In addition, another central factor must not be ignored either: people. Taking employees along as “happy end users” in this change process will be at least as challenging as the technological implementation of digital transformation.
