I have a current Silver/Gold/Platinum bundle and/or Access on subscription licensing. When do I need to transition to the new bundles/SKUs?

If the contract is up for renewal before January 1, 2021, you can renew with the current or new bundles.

If the renewal falls on January 1, 2021 or later, you will have to change to the new bundles at the time of renewal.

After January 1, 2021, if you want to expand licenses during the active subscription contract for the actual (Silver, Gold, Platinum) bundles you can add-on the new bundles to the existing ones. You will not be forced to migrate your existing licenses until time of renewal.

I have a perpetual maintenance licensing. How does it affect me?

Perpetual maintenance-only contracts are not affected.

However, if you want to add licenses after January 1, 2021, you will only be able to add them under the new, on-premises subscription licensing.

I have signed a multi-year deal with an end date that is beyond January 1, 2021. When will I be required to migrate to the new bundles?

In this scenario, you will have to migrate at the time of renewal.

Can I expand subscription user/device seats after January 1, 2021?

Beginning January 1, 2021, you will only have the ability to add-on the new bundles when adding licenses.

For example, if you currently have 500 UEM Platinum licenses and would like to add five more licenses after January 1, 2021, you will be able to add five licenses of Secure UEM Premium. Platinum will no longer be available.

Can I migrate the actual (Silver, Gold, Platinum) bundles to the new bundles before January 1, 2021?

Yes! You can migrate to the new bundles beginning July 1, 2020.

I have the Silver bundle. What are my migration options?

You can migrate to MobileIron Secure UEM at no additional cost.

To take advantage of our productivity apps such as Email+, Docs@Work, Web@Work, or any AppConnect apps and add passwordless multifactor authentication, we recommend to migrate to MobileIron Secure UEM Premium.

I have the Gold bundle. What are my migration options?

MobileIron recommends that Gold customers to migrate to MobileIron Secure UEM Premium. With this bundle, you can deploy per-app VPN, enable passwordless authentication (ZSO), and enforce conditional access for any service.

If you are using the productivity apps such as Email+, Docs@Work, Web@Work, or any AppConnect apps, you need to migrate to MobileIron Secure UEM Premium to continue to experience the capabilities of the MobileIron UEM platform.

I have the Platinum bundle. What are my migration options?

Platinum users should migrate to MobileIron Secure UEM Premium. In addition to all of the capabilities in the Platinum bundle, you can enable conditional access for all of their apps and passwordless authentication (ZSO) for one app.

What is the difference between Conditional Access and Zero Sign-On functionality?

Conditional Access allows managing the access of users and devices to apps, services and data based on whether or not the device, user and/or app is compliant with specific policies. This functionality is now available in the Secure UEM Premium bundle.

Zero sign-on (ZSO) is MobileIron’s passwordless multi-factor authentication (MFA) capability that replaces   passwords with secure mobile devices as the user ID.

I have MobileIron Access. What are my migration options?

MobileIron suggests to change to Secure UEM Premium bundle, which includes conditional access and Zero Sign-on (ZSO) for one app or service provider.

You have the option to add Zero Sign-on (ZSO) as an add-on, which provides passwordless MFA for unlimited apps.

Can I add more subscription users/devices now for the Silver/Gold/Platinum licences?

Yes, until January 1, 2021, you can add more users/devices under their current licensing model.

Beginning January 1, 2021, you will only have the ability to add-on new bundles/SKUs when adding more users/devices.
